INDIANAPOLIS—Carrier has initiated a comprehensive response to the deteriorating air quality stemming from widespread wildfires across the United States and Canada. This initiative aims to bolster public health and safety through advanced indoor air management solutions. Given that wildfire smoke contains fine particulate matter that can exacerbate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, Carrier is advising residential and commercial property owners to adopt proactive measures. These include operating HVAC systems with high-efficiency filters, sealing structural gaps to prevent smoke infiltration, and utilizing HEPA-equipped portable air purifiers.
“While outdoor air may become hazardous during wildfire events, indoor environments can also be compromised,” stated Nick Arch, Vice President and General Manager of Residential Solutions. “Carrier’s technologies are engineered to mitigate these risks and safeguard indoor air for families and communities.”
Carrier’s portfolio of offerings includes a range of advanced filtration systems and portable purification units. The company has also demonstrated its commitment to public welfare through a recent $2.5 million contribution of air purifiers to frontline workers and educational institutions in Los Angeles.
