Vietnam’s PM Strengthens Ties with Russia, Concludes Successful Visit

Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has returned to Hanoi following a productive three-day official visit to Russia, which focused on strengthening bilateral ties and participating in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit. This summit celebrated the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations.

While in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng took part in pivotal summit sessions and business forums. He also engaged in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders. The talks centered on expanding collaboration in areas such as investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation interacted with key Russian organizations and businesses, witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements, and attended the inauguration of new direct flight routes connecting Vietnam and Russia. These developments highlight the ongoing efforts to facilitate easier travel and strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

The visit underscored Vietnam’s commitment to enhancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership as well as advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia. Both countries agreed on a series of measures aimed at deepening their cooperation and achieving more substantial results across crucial sectors, which are expected to bolster long-term economic growth and bilateral development.
