Vietnam and Russia are set to deepen their collaboration in human resource training and scientific research, aiming to bolster their bilateral relations. This development was announced following discussions between Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and a Russian delegation in Hanoi on October 7.

The talks focused on leveraging Russia’s expertise in high technology to meet Vietnam’s developmental goals. Both nations are exploring joint research and training programs as a means to strengthen cooperation. Human resource development emerged as a key area of focus, with both sides emphasizing the importance of enhancing links between educational and training institutions, facilitating expert exchanges, and initiating joint research projects.

In addition to human resource development, the discussions identified several other potential areas for expanded cooperation, including science and technology, innovation, energy, and the oil and gas sectors. These topics reflect a mutual interest in fostering substantive exchanges and collaborations that align with strategic priorities for both countries.

The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by Vietnam and Russia to foster more comprehensive partnerships, particularly in the fields of education, technology, and strategic research. Through these initiatives, both countries aim to establish a robust framework for long-term cooperation that benefits their respective developmental agendas.
